Location matters
In Great Britain, revenue varies by distribution network operator territory. Areas such as SSEN South East, UKPN London and East of England, and NGED Midlands have active flexibility tender windows, which affects the available markets. Outside Great Britain the lever is different again: a Dutch non firm connection band, a German section 14a EnWG tariff module, an Australian flexible export limit under CSIP-AUS.

Does AmpVerve charge a monthly fee?
AmpVerve is paid only from the grid revenue it generates for you. No revenue in a period means nothing to pay. Commercial terms are agreed before you join.
Will my home be cold or my car uncharged?
No. You define every rule: minimum temperature, minimum EV charge, hot water schedule. The Safety Agent checks every instruction against them and will not issue a dispatch that would breach one.
Do I need to buy any new hardware?
No. AmpVerve connects to equipment you already own over standard smart home protocols.
When does the residential app launch?
Residential onboarding is opening area by area. Register your interest for priority onboarding and we will confirm when your area is supported.
Does my postcode affect how much I earn?
Yes. In Great Britain, revenue varies by distribution network operator territory. Areas such as SSEN South East, UKPN (London and East England) and NGED (Midlands) have active flexibility tender windows, which affects the markets available. AmpVerve carries ten countries in its regulatory configuration, so the mechanism changes by market: Australia settles flexible exports through CSIP-AUS, Germany through section 14a EnWG.
What if I want to pause or stop?

How is my revenue paid?
Revenue settles into your AmpVerve account and can be transferred to your bank. Every payment is itemised and linked to the grid event that generated it.
What grid markets does AmpVerve access for homes in Great Britain?
DNO local flexibility tenders with SSEN and UKPN, the NESO Demand Flexibility Service, EPEX SPOT intraday wholesale trading and N2EX day-ahead wholesale optimisation. NGED and Electricity North West registrations are in progress. Dynamic Containment and Dynamic Regulation are modelled, not held. The combination of markets available depends on your asset type and location.

Where this works.

A home battery, charger or heat pump is the same asset everywhere. What pays for its flexibility is not.

Great Britain
AmpVerve is a registered flexibility provider with SSEN and UK Power Networks, so a home in their territory can be dispatched into DNO local flexibility tenders without a market entity of its own. On 9 April 2026 NESO added bidirectional flexibility, zonal procurement and reduced eligibility thresholds to the Demand Flexibility Service, and every asset carries the settlement grade half hourly record that half hourly settlement will use.
Europe
In Germany, section 14a EnWG has since 1 January 2024 obliged the network operator to connect a heat pump, home battery or private charge point above 4.2 kW in exchange for the right to dim it, with reduced network charges in return. AmpVerve treats the dimming instruction as a setpoint that keeps at least 4.2 kW available, integrating behind your supplier's licence rather than instead of it.
Australia
Australia added 183,245 home batteries in the second half of 2025 and sold 103,270 battery electric vehicles in the year, and almost none of them are in a virtual power plant. AmpVerve orchestrates both through IEEE 2030.5 with CSIP-AUS and AS/NZS 4777.2, so a flexible export limit and a charging setpoint share one control path; it runs a residential V2X pilot in Melbourne, holds no AEMO or AER registration and operates behind your retailer's market entity.
Middle East
Across the Gulf there is no residential time varying tariff, capacity market or wholesale flexibility market, so a home battery or charger has no price signal to respond to yet. Abu Dhabi is the exception: its Demand Response Policy, effective 1 January 2024, targets 200 MW of contracted demand response by 2030, and its 2024 Phase 1 events included forty two residential consumers through licensed providers, the kind of provider AmpVerve sits behind, holding no licence of its own.
United States
Homes earn through utility and virtual power plant programmes, and residential assets are 10.2 per cent of VPP wholesale market capacity, up from 8.8 per cent, with third party data access for enrolment and settlement named as the main blocker. AmpVerve supplies that per asset, per interval evidence behind your utility's or aggregator's registration, while wholesale aggregation under FERC Order 2222 is still being implemented and PJM's lands in 2028; it holds no US market registration.
